New features include a brand new easier to use interface, and also more conversion options to give you more control over the formatting.

We are currently working on the next version of word cleaner, version 4.1. There will be a number of changes in this new version:
New interface: a lot of users think the interface is too complex, so we are going to give it a modern look, that should make the program easier to use.
Word conversion support: word cleaner uses its own conversion engine, while this is fast and generally works very well for most users there are some problems with support for footnotes and some formatting. In the next version we hope to offer the option of using word for the conversion, if you need to support these features.
The new version will be out in June.
If you have any ideas or suggestions for the new version please do let us know, as we rely on user feedback to improve the program.

Great news, we are pleased to announce that the next version of Word Cleaner is now available.
This is a major update; we have completely rebuilt the program from scratch.
What’s new:
Completely stand alone - MS Word does not need to be installed on the machine
.TXT, and .RTF files now supported
Brand new conversion engine – now more accurate and faster, average conversion time only 2 seconds
New template system – now easier to use and more powerful. RegEx is now supported as well
Built in visual editor – you can view and edit word files right from within word cleaner. You can also edit the HTML files visually
Built in browser preview – preview converted files from within word cleaner. Also preview to Firefox and Opera.
Built in text editor – view and edit the code of converted HTML files from with word cleaner
CSS options – you can control if you want no css, inline css or create a linked css file
DOCX support – can convert the new word 2007 format
Ability to convert one text file to multiple html files. One page = one HTML file

The new version installs to its own folder so it will not overwrite your current copy of Word Cleaner.
If you testing the BETA version please remove it before installing this new version.
